Google Gemini AI Smart Speaker Spotted at Made by Google Event

Google Gemini AI Smart Speaker Spotted at Made by Google Event

Google’s rumored Gemini AI smart speaker made an appearance at the Made by Google event, hinting at a new direction for the company’s smart home lineup.

Google appears to be entering a new era in smart home technology. At the recent Made by Google event, the company unveiled what looked like a sleek, minimal smart speaker powered by Gemini AI. Unlike Google’s existing Nest speakers, this new device seems to be a fresh product line designed to showcase the full capabilities of Gemini, the company’s advanced AI model.

The device caught attention in an unexpected way when Formula 1 driver Lando Norris interacted with it live on stage. While Google did not officially announce the product as part of the lineup, the demonstration strongly suggests that the company is preparing to launch a new class of AI-first devices.

If released, this Gemini-powered smart speaker could represent a major step forward in the evolution of smart home assistants. Unlike traditional voice-activated devices, a Gemini-driven system is expected to handle more complex conversations, provide richer contextual answers, and seamlessly integrate with other Google services.

This potential product also signals a growing shift in the smart home market. Amazon Alexa and Apple’s HomePod have dominated in the past, but Google is betting on AI sophistication as the next big leap. With Gemini AI leading the charge, the company could redefine what consumers expect from a smart speaker.

Although no official launch date has been announced, the quiet debut at the Made by Google event suggests we may see the Gemini AI smart speaker unveiled publicly in the near future.
