Terms

Last updated: September 24, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, newsletters, tools directories, community features, paid plans, advertising and featured-placement programs, and related services operated under the CortexHub / Cortex Hub Studio brand at cortexhub.studio and associated social accounts (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, subscribing, posting content, or clicking to accept, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
These Terms are a working legal draft prepared for publication on the site. They should be reviewed by qualified counsel in the operator’s jurisdiction before they are treated as binding. Placeholders (operator legal name, registered address, and contact emails) should be completed before go-live.
1. Who we are
The Services are operated by the publisher of CortexHub Studio (“CortexHub,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). For notices under these Terms, contact:
- Legal / Terms: legal@cortexhub.studio
- Privacy: privacy@cortexhub.studio
- Support and billing: support@cortexhub.studio
- Editorial and get-featured inquiries: via the contact or get-featured pages on the site
Replace the emails and add the full legal entity name, registration number, and postal address before publishing.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
You are responsible for the accuracy of account information and for keeping credentials confidential. You must notify us promptly of unauthorized use. We may refuse, suspend, or close accounts that violate these Terms, appear fraudulent, or create risk for other users or the Services.
One natural person should generally maintain one personal account. Accounts may not be sold, rented, or transferred without our written consent.
3. The Services
3.1 Editorial and information services
CortexHub publishes news, analysis, guides, interviews, directories of tools and startups, and related commentary about technology, artificial intelligence, startups, products, and adjacent topics. Content is provided for general information and discussion. It is not professional advice of any kind (including legal, financial, tax, investment, medical, or security advice).
3.2 Tools directory and featured placements
Listings of products and startups, “get featured” placements, and similar directory entries may include descriptions supplied by third parties. Advertising and paid placement will be labeled. Editorial coverage is not for sale as undisclosed advertising. Inclusion in a directory or article is not an endorsement, warranty, or partnership unless we expressly say so in writing.
3.3 Communities
Depending on your plan, you may browse, join, post in, or (as a Community Creator) create and monetize communities. Community features are a hosted forum, not a professional network we moderate in real time. We may, but are not obligated to, review content.
3.4 Newsletters and communications
If you subscribe to The CortexHub Daily or other emails, we will send editorial and service messages. You may unsubscribe from marketing or newsletter emails using the link in those messages. Transactional messages about your account, billing, or security may still be sent.
3.5 Paid plans
Current published plans include Free, Pro Reader (currently advertised at USD 4 per month), and Community Creator (currently advertised at USD 19 per month), plus any featured-placement or advertising packages offered from time to time. Features, prices, ad load, and payout terms may change as described in Section 8.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to assist others to:
- Violate any law, or infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
- Post or transmit unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, or otherwise harmful content, including content involving minors.
- Scam, phish, impersonate others, or misrepresent affiliation with CortexHub or any third party.
- Upload malware, attempt to probe or disrupt the Services, bypass rate limits, or scrape the Services in a way that burdens our systems or violates robots.txt, except ordinary search-engine indexing.
- Use automated means to create accounts, inflate engagement, or harvest emails or personal data.
- Republish our paid or paywalled material, or substantial portions of our original reporting, without permission, except as allowed by fair use / fair dealing or a written license.
- Use the Services to train commercial AI models on our original editorial content without a separate written license.
- Interfere with advertising, subscriptions, community monetization, or other users’ accounts.
We may remove content, restrict features, or terminate access if we reasonably believe these rules were broken.
5. User content
“User Content” means text, comments, posts, community materials, product descriptions you submit, profile information, and other material you provide.
You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant CortexHub a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, publicly display, distribute, and otherwise use that User Content solely to operate, improve, promote, and protect the Services (including displaying posts in communities, search, emails you opt into, and backup).
You represent that you have the rights needed to grant this license and that your User Content does not violate these Terms or third-party rights.
We do not claim ownership of third-party trademarks that appear in User Content or in product listings. Community Creators are responsible for the communities they operate, including member conduct they reasonably can control, refunds they promise, and tax reporting on their earnings.
6. Our content and intellectual property
Except for User Content and third-party marks, the Services—including articles, headlines, site design, logos, selection and arrangement of directories, and original graphics—are owned by CortexHub or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
You may view and share individual articles with ordinary social sharing and linking that does not misrepresent authorship. You may not systematically copy, frame, or commercially republish the site without written permission.
“CortexHub,” “Cortex Hub Studio,” and related logos are trademarks or trade names of the operator. Third-party names (products, companies, models) are used for identification and commentary.
7. Advertising, affiliates, and disclosures
The Services may display advertising, sponsored placements, and affiliate links (for example, cloud, software, or hardware offers). We may earn a commission if you purchase through an affiliate link, at no extra cost to you. Paid or affiliate relationships will be disclosed where required by law or advertising standards.
Advertisers and featured companies are solely responsible for their own products, claims, and customer relationships. We are not a party to your contract with them.
8. Subscriptions, billing, and Community Creator earnings
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis unless a different term is stated at checkout. Prices are shown at cortexhub.studio/pricing and at the payment screen. Taxes may be added where required.
Payments are processed by third parties (currently including Stripe, Paystack, and PayPal, depending on region). Their terms apply to the payment itself. We do not store full card numbers.
You may cancel from your account dashboard. Access generally continues through the end of the then-current billing period. Except where required by law (including applicable cooling-off or consumer-refund rules), fees already paid are non-refundable.
Community Creator plan: you may offer free or paid memberships in communities you moderate. As currently advertised, CortexHub deducts a platform fee of 5% of paid membership earnings, with the remainder available for payout through supported processors. Processors may deduct their own fees. You are responsible for any VAT, sales tax, or income tax on your earnings. We may withhold or reverse payouts in cases of chargebacks, fraud, policy violations, or legal process.
We may change prices or plan features with notice posted on the site or sent to your account email. Material adverse changes to a paid plan will apply from the next renewal after notice, except where a change is required by law or to address security or abuse.
9. Third-party services and links
The Services link to third-party sites, products, models, cloud providers, social networks, and payment processors. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices, or performance. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
10. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy published on the site (to be adopted alongside these Terms). By using the Services you acknowledge that policy. Where consent is required (for example certain cookies or marketing), we will request it separately.
11. DMCA and copyright complaints
If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, send a notice to legal@cortexhub.studio including: (a) your contact details; (b) identification of the work claimed to be infringed; (c) the URL or other location of the allegedly infringing material; (d) a statement of good-faith belief that use is not authorized; (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized agent; and (f) your physical or electronic signature.
We may remove material and, in appropriate circumstances, terminate repeat infringers. If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice with comparable information.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that content is accurate, complete, current, or error-free; that the Services will be uninterrupted or secure; or that any product, model, accelerator, investment app, or tool mentioned will meet your needs or produce any particular result. Technology, pricing, and company facts change quickly. Verify independently before you act.
Nothing on the Services is an offer to sell securities or an invitation to invest.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CORTEXHUB AND ITS OFFICERS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO CORTEXHUB FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (USD 50).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such a rule applies.
14. Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CortexHub and its personnel from and against claims, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising out of: (a) your User Content; (b) your use of the Services in violation of these Terms or law; (c) your communities, memberships, or payouts if you are a Community Creator; or (d) your dispute with another user or a third-party product featured or linked on the Services.
15. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately if we reasonably believe you breached these Terms, create legal or security risk, or if we discontinue the Services. Upon termination, licenses you granted to User Content that has already been published in our editorial materials may survive to the extent reasonably needed to keep archives intact. Sections that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and dispute terms) will survive.
16. Changes to the Services and to these Terms
We may modify the Services, including discontinuing features, changing editorial focus, or adjusting ad experience. We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change. For material changes, we will provide notice on the site or by email where we have an address. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Services and cancel any paid plan.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise, in which case that mandatory law applies to the extent required.
If you are using the Services as a consumer in a jurisdiction that grants you the right to bring claims in your local courts, that right is not waived. Otherwise, exclusive venue for disputes will be the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Replace Delaware with the operator’s actual home jurisdiction before publishing if different.
Before filing a formal claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by emailing legal@cortexhub.studio and allowing 30 days for a response.
18. Export, sanctions, and availability
You may not use the Services if you are prohibited from doing so under applicable export-control or sanctions laws. We do not represent that the Services are appropriate or available in every location.
19. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific or advertising insertion order you accept, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization, sale, or operation of the Services. There are no third-party beneficiaries except as stated for indemnified persons. Headings are for convenience only.
The Services may be provided from servers in multiple countries. English is the controlling language of these Terms unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.
